The Baltimore Orioles back end of the bullpen weapon Felix Bautista, otherwise known as “The Mountain”, is ready for his next step in recovery following tommy john surgery. He underwent the procedure in August of 2023, missed all of last season, and now is ready for his first taste of live game action.

The 6’8″ flamethrowing righty was capable of consistently hitting 99-100 MPH prior to his elbow injury. Reports so far on his velocity is that he is sitting in the mid 90s.

Bautista is the favorite to regain the role right off that bat as in 2023 he accumulated 33 saves and had a 1.48 ERA before getting injured.
If Bautista does indeed make his spring training debut on Monday, then he will face the Boston Red Sox. That game will begin at 1:05 PM EST and will be aired on MASN as well as ESPN.
