The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox squared off once again this weekend. The Sox would eventually win the series 2-1 after their 9-8 win on Sunday. That win improved their record to 24-22 which is extremely impressive given the historically bad campaign they had just a few seasons ago.
However, attention focused to the stands over the weekend after a massive fight broke out between fans. Here is what we know.

White Sox Fan Jumps Cubs Fan in Brutal Scene
One Chicago Cubs fan was jumped by White Sox fans while he was in attendance in enemy territory. This guy was grabbed from every direction, and many others threw punches at him in video footage. Security ran over and essentially saved his life after he took quite a beating.
This resulted in fans being separated, grabbed, and likely thrown out of the contest.
Even crazier, White Sox fans in the outfield got engaged during the same game. There was a man who was on his knees and asked his future wife to marry him. As others cheered, she accepted. Here is the video:

Fans immediately reacted to this disturbing video:
- Heavy fines would immediately stop this. Arrested and throw the book at them. All involved. Drunken buffoons.
- This is kind of expected when alcohol and men congregate
- I went to a Cubs/Sox game years ago on the South Side! The whole time it was like this! Ridiculous! Never again!
- I hate the Crosstown Classic
- Pretty normal for a Sox game………ever been to old Comiskey, 7th inning right before beer sales are stopped?
As an added bonus for the fans, the White Sox defeated the Cubs to make the day even more memorable. In the 10th inning, Edgar Quero knocked a two-run home run off Cubs reliever Ryan Rolison to beat the team’s crosstown rival.
“It feels amazing,” Quero said. “Right away, when I hit the ball, I knew it was going deep. I didn’t know if it was a homer. I felt like it was good contact.
